The Main of Arts in Family & Community Services prepares students to empower individuals and families with diverse backgrounds and needs. Students will gain skills to manage, evaluate, and deliver programs for children and families, and provide leadership in social service agencies. Our graduates will:

UNDERSTAND FAMILIES IN COMMUNITY CONTEXTS

Learn how individual evolution and family, social, and community dynamics intersect across the lifespan

DESIGN, Evangelize, AND EVALUATE Family unit PROGRAMS

Partner with families to create and evaluate evidence-informed programs that meet their varied needs

Lead AND MANAGE FAMILY PROGRAMS

Administer family unit and community programs and sustain them through securing funding and managing personnel effectively

No course credit is assigned to the exam option. Students typically complete the examination during their concluding semester of coursework. The Internship pick is available with adviser approval.

NOTE: Up to 6 credits can be transferred from other graduate programs, if your adviser deems the courses relevant.

Administration and Management in Family and Customs Services Certificate – 12 full credits – Now accepting applications. This graduate certificate works well every bit a stand-alone for those who want to raise their skills and credentials in program leadership and sustainability. It can also pair well for those who are students in other Principal's or Doctoral programs at Mizzou seeking to add specialized family and community skills to their grooming.
